Six levels, bottom to top, with a name attached to every one
Movements fail when nobody is responsible for anything in particular. This one is built the other way round: the structure starts where women already gather and works upward.

Community women groups
Where the movement actually lives. Existing groups, associations and gatherings that already meet.

Polling unit
Polling unit mobilisers
The smallest organised unit. One mobiliser, one register, one set of neighbours.

Ward
Ward coordinator and committee
Registration, mobilisation, welfare and community advocacy across the ward.

LGA and LCDA
LGA chairperson and executive
Coordination across all wards in the local government area. 774 of these nationwide.

State
State executive committee
Senatorial coordinators, state secretariat, and the chapter inauguration with the Ministry.

Federal
National executive council
National chairperson, deputies for North and South, and the national secretariat.
Wings cut across the whole ladder
Geography tells you where a member is. A wing tells you what she needs. A market woman in Kano and a market woman in Onitsha face many of the same problems, and the wing structure lets them be organised together even though they sit in different state chapters.
